Fox Inverter and a stack of Fox Batteries

The animals on this job were lovely!

Our customer, a local farmer, had thirteen panels installed by a previous solar company under a government grant scheme. Unfortunately, due to being out of range of any mobile phone masts, energy companies refused to fit a SMART meter and so the customer could not get paid for excess energy produced, despite the energy feeding back into the national grid! We recommended a hybrid inverter, which converts the energy generated by the solar panels into usable energy, and also reduces the voltage so it can be stored by the batteries. With the inverter, we also installed stackable batteries so the customer could have one or two or even more batteries installed, so they could see how they much energy they produced with the FOX app, and more importantly see how they could store and ‘grow’ their battery storage system as they produced more energy. This way they could use their own energy instead of paying for national grid energy. This meant the customer could now save money!

One of our team with the money-saving inverter and batteries

We ordered the FOX hybrid system with batteries that stack up to a maximum of six. The customer initially opted for two 2.9kWh batteries but once they realised they were producing far more energy we fitted a total of five 2.9kWh batteries. These Fox Cube batteries are internally wired in series – this means that voltage is added as each extra battery is added producing a high voltage battery system, so the customer can continue to generate energy and can save money!

It was a great success for the customer and for us at Solar Boost, as our expertise and recommendations means that our customer can relax, knowing that the solar panel system is working at its most profitable and at its most efficient!
