Is the UK too cold for Heat Pumps?

Yes heat pumps work well in cold UK temperatures, for example in Norway more than 60% of homes have a heat pump, and the average winter temperatures are up to seven degrees colder than in the UK. Norway has been using heat pumps for quite a few decades and they are growing ever popular. Not far behind in terms of heat pump uptake is Sweden & Finland with 40% of Swedish & Finnish homes having a heat pump. All of these Scandinavian countries have winters far colder than UK temperatures
